The magic glow of neon

Mission Street at 2nd. I hope they sell enough Steinways to keep that neon sign glowing ad infinitum.

Very nice shot. Reminded me that my Uncle Andrew was a master piano maker. Trained in Naples (Italy) and wanted me to apprentice with him when I graduated from High School. Alas, this was during the Viet Nam war and if I didn't go to college, I would have been drafted.

When I was in the first grade, he gave me a piano (and I still have it). I recall he had 7 in his home on Long Island. In the living room, he had a Steinway grand with the most amazing sound.
