A new building in Cascais



Not much of the newer construction in Portugal is noteworthy, but I liked this apartment building for its historical allusions as well as its apparent livability. Interestingly, it's in the same neighborhood as the buildings shown below, right along the sea in Cascais.

Crossing one of the bridges designed by Santiago Calatrava is always a treat…this is the Vasco da Gama bridge that spans the Tagus River in Lisbon.
